Alan C. Yeung, MD earned his medical doctorate from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his internship and residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and a cardiology fellowship with Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, and internal medicine.
His current research interest is mainly in new technology in interventional cardiology and mobile health. Clinically, he treats patients with coronary artery disease and specializes in interventional approaches to treat complex coronary lesions, such as chronic total occlusions, as well as minimally invasive approaches to treat stenotic valves such as mitral valvuloplasty. His research expands beyond devices, focusing on interventions that could lead to long-term health in all our cardiac patients, exploring mobile health as well as big data to facilitate such outcomes.
He sits on Editorial Board of several major cardiovascular journals and is the Chairman of the Interventional Cardiology Board of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
